Women's Soccer drops final home match

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's soccer team honored senior Heather Wein at halftime but was unable to recover from a 1-0 deficit at the intermission as they lost 3-0 to Webster in the final home match of the season.
Webster struck early, scoring in the game's 13th minute. They padded their lead with goals in the 62nd and 68th minutes.
Greenville's defense was led by goalkeeper Hope Brakenhoff who produced a match-high 11 saves.
Barbara Nigro added two shots for Greenville, one of which had to be stopped by Webster goalkeeper Jessica Davis for Davis' lone save.
Webster held a 17-5 advantage in shots and outpaced Greenville 14-1 in shots on goal.
The Lady Panthers (3-11-4, 2-3-3 SLIAC) wrap up their season on Saturday at Eureka.
