The GC Lady Panthers tennis team fell to Missouri Baptist on Wednesday, with a score of 2-7. Jamie Harling had an impressive night, being a part of both GC points.
In singles play, Harling beat her No. 1 spot opponent with a score of 6-3, 7-5.Junior, Kristin Minshall, fought hard and kept her composure, winning her second set and taking her match into a tie-breaker. Despite her best efforts, she lost her match with a close score of 1-6, 6-7 (5-7), making Harling the only singles player to come out with a win.
Harling continuted her winning ways when she joined doubles partner, Kat Kennedy. The duo won their match 9-7. They were the only doubles team to overtake their opponents. Unfortuanely, the LadyPanthersteam could not get enough wins to earn the victory and lost the match 2-7.
This match brings the team's record to 4-9. They hope to redeem themselves and get a victory tomorrow against Webster.
