Week of Campus Activities Cultivates Mental Health AwarenessGreenville University is pleased to announce its first Mental Health Awareness Week, October 5-10, 2020. Featured activities include talks and panel discussions with mental health experts, a mental health fair, special speakers in GUs Chapel and Vespers services, a showing of the movieInside Out,and more.

From Hopeless to Empowered

A.J. French, president ofGift of Voiceand facilitator with the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) will kick off the week with a special chapel address.

There was a time when it was all I could do to just get out of bed and make it through another day, recalls A.J. My life seemed to be spinning out of control and I felt helpless to change it.

But then gradually, and with help, A.J. moved from hopeless to empowered.

I now have a specific plan that helps me achieve a lifestyle of wellness. I guess you could say that I have recovered . . . I want others to experience the same hope and recovery that I have found.
