Job Description

Pay Rate: $8.00/hour. Job Description: Greenville University's Student Success Center offers GU students a variety of resources in order to thrive academically. One of those resources that we offer is peer tutoring which is a free face to face and online program that seeks to help students achieve greater success through peer relationships. Peer tutoring is made available for all Greenville students. As a peer tutor, your job will consist of collaborating one on one, online, or in small groups to assist students to become self-sufficient learners. Job Responsibilities: Attend all tutor meetings and trainings. Participate in required tutor certification process. Help students develop their own practices for becoming self-sufficient learners. Complete the online tutoring JotForm for every session to track student data. Required Qualifications: Must be enrolled as a Greenville University undergraduate student. Must have a 3.0 or above GPA. Must have a B or higher in each of the courses wanting to tutor. Must be a full time student enrolled in 12+ credits (Except for seniors in their second semester). Must be able to communicate effectively to help students construct their own understandings of course materials.
