About Larry Sayler

Larry likes Greenville University students and his faculty colleagues. He appreciates how students strive to learn the material and want to improve themselves through academic and extra-curricular activities. "They want their lives to be meaningful," he acknowledges. "They turn to us for our significant non-academic experience, which enhances our classroom teaching. For the students, we need to be high-quality people who are earnest about our faith."

Larry spent about 20 years "doing" business and accounting before starting to teach full time, much of those early years with General Electric. He loves management. "In the United States," he says, "business and free-enterprise are the engines that propel our economic growth. Business provides the goods and services people want and need. And business frequently provides the opportunity for people to improve themselves financially." He continues to find management principles useful with his work for a variety of organizations--as an administrative board member at his local church, as a board member of Bond County Habitat for Humanity, as a board member of the Christian Business Faculty Association, and more.
