Dr. Schmidt has various experiences as Department Director and as a Teacher of English and Reading over the years. He has also been a Reading Consultant for Computerized Education for Multi-Lingual Instruction. Other experiences of his include being the Summer Reading Lab coordinator at the University of Illinois and the English Area Coordinator for the Humanities Department at Turabo University, Caguas, Puerto Rico.
