Job Description

Part time student worker position. Job Description: Assist CJ and SW professors with class preparations, grading, research, department organization, and other varied assignments as needed. This student assistant will primarily work with Professor M. Laughlin. Most hours must be completed during 8am-2pm, but hours will be flexible and the number per week may be inconsistent. (Minimum of 5 hours per week and 45 per semester. Maximum of 130 hours in academic year). * Must be able to work from 4 pm - 9 pm on Friday, April 5th and 7:30 am- 7:00 pm Saturday, April 6th. Required qualifications: Preferably a Criminal Justice or Social Work student (preferably with sophomore, junior or senior standing). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent understanding of A.P.A. writing requirements. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Microsoft Excel, D2L, a Publisher/editing software and other generally used office software. Must have access to some student assignments, so confidentiality is a must. Some preferred attributes: Punctual, efficient, motivated, team player, driven, positive attitude and a hard worker.
