Job Description

Primary objective will be to lead and disciple the children of Restore in Christian living and Scripture. Create a loving, fun, safe and God-glorifying atmosphere every child feels welcome to join. Responsible for all aspects of ensuring the spiritual growth and development of children ages birth through 5th grade. This includes curriculum selection, volunteer recruitment and development, classroom management and operational management necessary to ensure successful and constantly improving weekend children's services and periodic special events. Personal Requirements: Be a committed, baptized follower of Jesus Christ. Have an active prayer life. Desire to continue the mission and ministry of Christ. Recognize the importance of generational discipleship that often begins in children. Be passionate about glorifying God in leading, discipling and serving His children. Always strive, in every circumstance, to lead by example, with excellence in a Christ-line manner. Lead with flexibility and demonstrate a collaborative, energetic nature. Understand, embrace and share the mission, vision, core values and ministry process of the church. Recognize and regularly communicate with both a mentor and accountability partner for personal and spiritual development and guidance. Primary Responsibilities: Planning, designing, and leading all activities involving children during weekly services. Implementing children's registration, classroom management, and security policies/practices in support of weekend services and periodic special events. Regularly selecting and/or developing curriculum for children's education. Designing and planning periodic child dedication services as required, meeting the needs and appropriate expectations of families attending the church. Recruiting, scheduling, and equipping others within and outside the church to serve during weekend services. Running an effective, inspiring Children's Church that reflects the essential elements of the regular service. Attending a Connect Group on a weekly basis. Developing appropriate, personal relationships with fellow staff members. Attending weekly staff meetings and monthly management team meetings. Maintaining all equipment (belonging to the church) used for children's ministry. Assisting in the development of an annual budget for the children's ministry. Serving alongside the Lead Minister and other staff members, assisting the Lead Minister with whatever needs or events may arise within the church. This includes, but is not limited to: baptisms, fundraising and volunteering. Regularly communicating the current status of the children's ministry to the church and staff.
