Pay Rate: $9.00/hour. Job Description: Greenville University's Student Success Center offers GU students a variety of resources in order to thrive academically. One of the free resources we offer to undergraduate students is peer academic coaching. Peer academic coaching offers support to students either face-to-face or online by appointment. Peer Academic Coaches support students by making individualized personal recommendations regarding campus resources; by encouraging engagement on-campus and in the community; by facilitating study, time management, and other academic success skills; and, by modeling responsible and healthy decision-making. As a peer academic coach, your job will consist of helping your peers to develop study skills, create action plans, and access improvement. Requirements: Attend all meetings and trainings. Participate in the required certification process. Complete attendance data survey for every session and turn it in weekly. (Online) Required Qualifications: Undergraduate applicants must have completed 30+ credits with a 3.0+ overall GPA or higher. Must be enrolled as a Greenville University undergraduate student. Must be a full time, undergraduate student enrolled in 12+ credits (Except for second semester seniors). Must be in good disciplinary standing with the University. Must be available in the Fall and Spring semester team meeting. Must be available to participate in paid training activities before your employment commences. In-person training will occur the week before classes begin in the Fall. Must be able to commit to working in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Must be able to be flexible; work 8-12 hours a week. Satisfy the University criminal background check and complete university student employee on-boarding process.
