Plentiful performance, ministry, and internship opportunities afford professional and spiritual growth for both music majors and interested students from every other department in the college. Come join us and pursue your dreams!

Greenville has served as the launching place for numerous artists, including Grammy-winning group Jars of Clay, Paper Route, Augustana, and Stephanie Smith among others. For more than twenty years, the Greenville College Music program has turned out talented Christian artists.

You will study with accomplished faculty and gain hands-on experience. You can even start a lab band to earn college credit as you write, record and perform.

Optional Tracks within the Commercial Music Major:

In addition to traditional music classes, which include music history, theory, ear training, etc., you can choose to complete an emphasis in an area within the Commercial Music major so you can tailor your education to help you meet your goals.

Performance allows you to focus extra attention on your major instrument and hone your skills in that area.
Songwriting exposes students to computer-aided scoring software, studio recording techniques, music theory, composition, and a variety of other skills needed to pursue a career as a songwriter.
