Faculty-Senior Breakfast Ushers In Commencement Week
It may have been a day without classes, but sleeping-in clearly wasn't on the agenda for more than 100 graduating seniors and faculty members who gathered together this past Saturday in Armington Center for Greenville College's 66th Annual Faculty-Senior Breakfast.
Cool Head Prevails
When an unexpected challenge flashes before him on a ski run, sophomore Nathan Hood surveys the terrain, skillfully adjusts his response and attacks the slope. The Montana native’s proven ability to also smoothly adapt off the slopes bodes well for Greenville College this fall. That is when Hood, GC’s newly elected student association president, will attend to the challenges of overseeing a myriad of student activities.
Greenville College Announces 2013 Commencement Schedule and Speakers
Greenville College will conduct its 121st commencement exercises on May 25 and 26. Master’s degree, adult degree completion, and off-campus partnership students will be recognized on Saturday, May 25, at 2 p.m. Undergraduate students will be recognized on Sunday, May 26, at 3 p.m.
Two Chances to Hear Greenville College Jazz Band
Just back from their inaugural spring performance tour in Branson, Mo., the Greenville College Jazz Band is excited to present their final on-campus concert of the semester, “Jumpin’ at the GC Side.” Join them Tuesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in the Whitlock Music Center for an evening full of boogie-woogie, swing, and Latin jazz.

Dr. Ivan Filby named 12th president of Greenville College
Affirming the recommendation of the presidential search committee, the Greenville College Board of Trustees unanimously elected Dr. Ivan Filby as the College's twelfth president.

Greenville College Senior Simon Martin Receives Maxwell Award Fund
GREENVILLE, IL – Senior pre-med student Simon Martin received the Maxwell award at the Twenty-first annual Richard W. Maxwell Memorial Lecture. The lecture, given for those interested in the field of medicine, was presented by Dr. David B. Crandall, a 1961 graduate of Greenville College.
Science and Religion Presentation with Dr. Jack Collins
Collins' lecture is presented by the Greenville Religion and Science Society, a local faith and science initiative of Greenville College intended to serve the college and surrounding community by providing opportunities for engagement with issues related to Christian faith and science through lectures, films, readings and discussion groups.
