Women’s Soccer Falls 3-0 to Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. The Panthers dropped their season record to 3-2 on Tuesday, as they were bested by the Big Blue of Millikin University 3-0.

In the loss the women were led by senior midfielder Jackie Sievert, who accounted for four of the Panthers seven shots.

Millikin opened the scoring at 16:53 with an off post rebound goal to take the early first half lead. The Big Blue would at two more goals in the second period to distance themselves from a GC squad that struggled to find scoring chances in the match. Greenville was outshot by MU 15-7 in the 3-0 shutout.

Womens soccer will look to bounce back Saturday, September 17 as they play host to Elmhurst at noon.
