Women's Basketball Wins Big Over Principia 73-56

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- In the battle of Lady Panther supremacy in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference, the women's basketball team defeated Principia 73-56. Greenville (8-3, 4-1 SLIAC) was led by Ieisha Adams with 17 points and seven rebounds. Three other Greenville women scored 10 or more points.
Principia's (3-8, 0-4) top scorer was Lindsay Sydness with 19. Sydness also led her squad in rebounds with nine. Sarah Corbitt had a strong game for the visiting Panthers, scoring 13 points.
Principia played Greenville tight in the first half and entered halftime with a36-34 Greenville advantage. In the second half, Principia's cold shooting efforts allowed a widening of the halftime lead.
The next game for Greenville will be at SLIAC foe Westminster on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 6 p.m.
