Women's Basketball Toppled 77-66 by Spalding; Face Westminster Thursday in SLIAC Tournament

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- The women's basketball fought hard but fell short Monday night in a 77-66 loss against Spalding University. Katelyn Wise led all Greenville scoring with 18 points in 24 minutes. Ieisha Adams followed Wise with 12 points and Amy Radford was next with 10.

Adams was also Greenville's leader in assists with five, and Radford led the team with five rebounds.

After being down by 15 points at half, the Lady Panthers pulled it together in the second half and outscored Spalding 39-35 but it was not quite enough as Spalding held on for the SLIAC win.

The women's basketbal team finished the regular season with a 13-11 overall record, including a 7-9 SLIAC mark. They will continue their season in theSLIAC tournament Thursday night as they travel to Westminster for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
