Women's Basketball Sends Off Seniors with Home Victory

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Greenville women's basketball team was able to honor seniors Ieisha Adams, Laura Hobbie, Katelyn Wise, and Lauren Schwaar with a 63-46 victory over MacMurray College on Senior Day.  The Panthers jumped out to a 29-17 lead at halftime and never relinquished control of the game.

Greenville had four players score in double digits.  Coley Baker, Katelyn Wise, and Ieisha Adams each contributed 12 points.  Laura Hobbie netted 10 points.

Baker along with Emily Gundy and Jamie Schollenbruch led GC in rebounds, with 8 each. Baker also recorded 3 blocks and Adams and Schollenbruch each had 2 steals for the Panthers.

Kelsey Anderson led MacMurray in scoring with 13 points. Megan Duisen led the Highlanders defensively, with 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.

With the win, Greenville moves to 12-12 (7-8 SLIAC).  MacMurray falls to 10-13 (7-8 SLIAC).  The Panthers finish their season Tuesday, Feb. 19, when they travel to Fontbonne University.  The contest is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
