ELSAH, Ill. Junior forward Katelyn Wises 20 point, nine board effort wasnt enough to help GC secure a victory on the road Saturday afternoon, as Principia College eked out a close conference-play battle 57-49.

Wise added an assist and a block to her line for the weekend, also knocking down 4-5 from the line in her 27 minutes of work.

Greenville trailed 23-17 heading into intermission, and found themselves again outpaced in second period play as the Panthers of Principia handed the Black & Orange another SLIAC defeat.

Both squads posted dismal shooting performances, each going 0-for in the first half from behind the arc (GC 0-8, PC 0-9), and Greenvilles 17 first half points mark one of the lowest totals of the 2012 season.

Pacing host Principia was forward Lindsay Sydness who notched a rare triple-double. Sydness poured in a game-high 24 points, while snagging 12 rebounds, and rejecting 13 blocks.

Greenville College womens basketball will conclude the 2012 season on Monday, as they host Spalding at 6:00 pm.
