Women's volleyball slips to River Falls and Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team was defeated in two matches at Lake Forest on Friday. The Lady Panthers dropped the first match to Wisconsin - River Falls in three sets and managed to take one set against Lake Forest before falling in four sets.

Greenville was hurt by a hitting at a 1.3 percent clip as they fell to River Falls 25-15, 25-19, 25-19.

Allyson Mitchell contributed to seven of Greenville's points with five kills and two solo blocks.

Felicity Giddings picked up 13 assists, and Jamie Schollenbruch produced 11 digs.

In the second match, Greenville took the third set as they dropped the match to the event's host with a 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 25-22 line score.

Mitchell came up with 13 kills and one block assist.

Riley Hannula tallied four block assists, and Schollenbruch collected 25 digs.

Kirsten Laune led in assists with 29 on the evening.

The Lady Panthers (1-4) continue at Lake Forest with two matches on Saturday.
