INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division III Mens and Womens Track and Field Committee announced on Sunday the participants in the 2015 NCAA Division III Mens and Womens Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Greenville's women's track and field program will be represented by Chelsea Gilles in the 400 meter dash.

Gilles earned the 19th position in the 400 with her season's best time of 56.13 seconds. She will be attempting to become the Lady Panther program's first All-American in the 400.

She is just the third person in Greenville College women's track and field history to compete in the 400 at the national championships. Shontia Chester was 13th in 2005, and Philita Johnson placed ninth in 2012.

For each mens individual event contested, including the decathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each womens individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.

The championships will be held May 21-23 at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
