Women's track and field places ninth at St. Louis University

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's track and field team was led by second place performances by Abby Hill in the hammer throw and the 4x100 meter relay team as they earned 16 of Greenville's 21 points in the team's ninth place finish.

Hill threw the hammer 43.94 meters (144-2) in her second place effort.

The 4x100 meter relay team comprised of Iyeesha Deberry, Alex Gregory, Josie Muniania, and Chelsea Gilles finished their relay in 49.54 seconds.

Marideth Tate posted a distance of 11.31 meters (37-1.25) in the shot put as she ranked sixth and picked up three points.

Gilles was eighth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.732 which gave Greenville a point, and Michaela Harris was ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 9.15 meters (30-0.25) to also gain one point.

The Lady Panthers return to action on Friday at Rose-Hulman.
