Women's soccer falls 2-1 in overtime to conference champions

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's soccer team proved that they can compete with the best the conference offers as they lost 2-1 in overtime at Webster on Saturday.

Dani Pearce gave Greenville the early lead with a goal in the eighth minute.

The Lady Panthers weren't able to push through for a goal over the remainder of the game, and Webster scored in the second half to tie the game before winning in overtime.

Pearce had four shots for Greenville, and Kieley Leach added three shots.

Goalkeeper Hope Brakenhoff totaled five saves.

The Lady Panthers (9-7-3, 6-3 SLIAC) travel back to Webster on Thursday to face the Gorlocks at 7 p.m.
