Women's basketball fall to Spalding in SLIAC semifinals

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The women's basketball season concluded with a 68-43 loss to Spalding in the semifinals of the SLIAC tournament. Kelly Lenz led Greenville with 11 points, eight rebounds, and four steals in a performance that earned her a position on the all-tournament team.

Spalding led 34-20 at halftime and built on their lead in the second half. Greenville never led in the game.

The Lady Panthers only shot 25 percent in the contest as they made 14-of-56 shots. Spalding made 22-of-52 shots at a 42.3 percent rate. The Lady Panthers converted 2-of-7 three pointers and a solid 13-of-17 mark at the free throw line.

The Lady Panthers finished with a 12-14 overall record. They were 9-9 in SLIAC competition to place fifth.
