Women's basketball clipped in OT by Spalding

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team held the opportunity to win as the fourth quarter expired, but Spalding's defensive stand kept Greenville from scoring as the contest went to overtime and Spalding picked up a 79-67 victory.
Taylor Paulin posted 14 points and three steals as Greenville's leading scorer and a solid defender.
Spalding won the game on the boards as they out-rebounded Greenville by a 43-30 margin.
Greenville held a 19-9 lead after one quarter and a 31-29 advantage at halftime. Greenville extended their lead to 48-42 after three quarters before Spalding forced the game to overtime.
Kelly Lenz had 11 points in the defeat.
Coley Baker posted nine points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
The Lady Panthers (13-7, 9-4 SLIAC) host MacMurray on Saturday at 1 p.m.
