Volleyball Wins 19th Match and 11th Straight

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The volleyball team captured its 19th win of the season at Illinois College on Tuesday.The19 winsrepresent the mostvictories by any Greenville volleyball team since joining the NCAA.

Greenville defeated Illinois College 3-1 (25-18, 18-25, 25-21, 25-20). Katelin Feyerabend led the way with 14 kills and was followed by Jessica Dothager with eight. Tricia Gall dominated the net withfive block assists while Jenna Marcotte addedtwo block assists andtwo block solos. Adding to the performance, freshman Corinne Coon hadthree aces and Janell Crow posted 33 assists.

The 2010 team is now 19-5 and has won 11 straight matches. The team is currently ranked 47th in the nation in assists and 38th in hitting percentage. Janell Crow is ranked 35th in assists and Jessica Dothager is ranked 11th in the nation for hitting percentage.

The hunt for the SLIAC championship continues Tuesday night as the Panthers travel to Webster University to battle the Gorloks. The Panthers defeated the Gorloks earlier this year in a tough fought match and hope to repeat the performance at 6 p.m.
