Volleyball Takes Down Eureka 3-0

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- The Lady Panthers took on Eureka College Saturday and swept the Red Devils 3-0 at H.J. Long.
GC took the sets 25-10, 25-8, and 25-9 for the important three-set sweep.
Corinne Coon and Nicole Schaeffer led the Panther offense, scoring 17.5 and 16.5 points, respectively. Coon finished the match with 13 kills, 6 digs, 2 solo blocks, and an ace. Schaeffer recorded 9 kills, 7 service aces, and 9 digs. Sierah Ruffner also had an impressive performance in the match, scoring 11 points on 8 kills, 4 digs, and an ace. In addition, Jamie Schollenbruch had 15 digs and Ellen Lueking was credited with 30 assists for the Panthers.
The win improves the team's record to 23-6 (16-1 SLIAC). The Panthers will take their home court on Tuesday, November 5 for their final regular season match of 2013 against MacMurray College at 7:00pm.
