GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The volleyball team dominated Benedictine - Springfield on Tuesday night, winning the home opener in three sets.  Nicole Schaeffer provided a solid all-around effort with a team high 12 kills and 10 digs in the effort.

Greenville jumped out quickly, taking the first set 25-12 and improved in the second set as they won the game 25-8.  Benedictine rallied to post 17 points in the final set, but it was not enough.

In addition to Schaeffer's performance, Jamie Schollenbruch collected a team-leading 20 digs, and Savannah Sells added six blocks.

Ellen Lueking was active in GC's offensive efforts with 28 assists and three service aces.

The Panthers (2-3) return to action this weekend with a match Friday night at Rose-Hulman before traveling to Earlham to compete against the host and Wilmington on Saturday.
