SLIAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week: Mitchell Hooten

This week's SLIAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week is Mitchell Hooten from Greenville College. Hooten set personal bests in three events this week, claiming the season's top spot among SLIAC performers in two of the events. Hooten placed third at the Greenville Select in the discus, throwing a distance of 139'9"; more than four feet further than second place in the SLIAC performance list. He also took fourth at the event in the shot put with a distance of 48'1", ranking him atop the conference performance standings. Hooten had enough in him to also compete in the hammer throw, finishing with a mark of 133'7" which is sixth best in the SLIAC this season.
