Published: April 13, 2021

Robbie Schomaker has been namedGreenville College'soffensive coordinator for the football team. Schomaker wasthe Trinity International University offensive line coach and special teams coordinator from2006-09. He replaces Jeff DiSandro, who left after four years on the Panther staff to become the offensive coordinator at Malone University.

Coach Schomaker comes from a long line of coaches who have made the transition from TIU to Greenville including head coach Ordell Walker. This is actually the second time Schomaker has taken over for DiSandro. When coach DiSandro left Trinity for Greenville in 2005, coach Schomaker took over as the new offensive line coach. The Panthers expect a seamless transition from coach DiSandro to coach Schomaker due to the nature of the relationship that the two coaches have had over the years.

"Jeff and I haveknown each other since his days at TIU," saidSchomaker "We have spent a lot of time talking about offensive schemes over the past few years and I have learned a lot from him. We expect to build from the positive things Jeff did this past season and improve on his phenomenal success."

Schomaker has been one of the top recruiters on Trinity's staff over the past four years. He has signed athletes from seven different states with a majority of those players coming from Illinois. He was a part of a mass recruiting effort for Trinity last season that saw 73 student athletes sign a letter of intent.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Schomaker is a graduate of Trinity International University with a bachelor of artsin business management. While spending a brief stint at NCAA DivisionIII Ohio Northern University,Schomaker spent the majority of his playing career at Trinity. There he was a two-year starter at defensive end as well as a captain in 2005. In 2004, he was an important cog on a team that ranked 14th in the country and played in the first round of the NAIA playoffs.

Robbie and his wife, Annie currently reside in Chicago.
