Powers and Works Lead Women's Cross Country to Fourth at Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. -- The women's cross country team used the 1-2 punch of Alivia Powers and Molly Works to place fourth of 13 teams in the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon.

Powers and Works crossed the finish line in 37th and 38th place, but took the scoring positions of 24 and 25 as they completed the race in 24:30 and 24:32, respectively.

Rosie Nelson Baker was Greenville's third place runner, finishing 54th overall and picking up 31 points in her 25:23 run.

The final scoring spots were earned by Suzanne Ford and Mallory Wendling. Ford was 60th in 25:43, scoring 35 points, and Wendling wrapped up her race in 61st place and scored 36 points in her 25:46 run.

The women are off until Saturday, Nov. 2, when they run in the SLIAC championship meet in Hillsboro, Ill.
