Panther Volleyball Cruises Past Lincoln-Christian

LINCOLN, Ill.-- The GC women's volleyball team beat Lincoln Christian 3-1 on the road Tuesday night. Panther senior, Corinne Coon, recorded her 1,000th career kill in the match.
Coon had an outstanding performance, leading the Panthers in both points scored, with 21, and kills, recording 20.
Nicole Schaeffer and Ellen Lueking were also impressive for GC. Schaeffer had 10 kills, 13 points, 7 digs, and a solo block for the Lady Panthers. Lueking recorded 41 assists and two service aces.
The team captured the win in four sets with scores of 25-23, 25-15, 23-25, and 25-14.
The victory improves the team's record to 15-4 (8-0 SLIAC). They will take the court again on Saturday, October 12, when they host Principia College at 11:00am and then take on MacMurray at 2:00pm.
