Panther Football Continues on 6-Game Win Streak

FULTON, Mo.-- The Greenville College Football team continued their winning ways as they beat Westminster, 34-22, to bring the win streak to 6-games.

GC's Steven Glover led the Panthers in rushing yards with 103 and Immanuel Gamble ran 86 yards for the team. Brendan Chambers threw for 105 yards throughout the game and Nathan Butler and Anthony Gonzales were credited with 77 and 69 receiving yards, respectively.

Greenville's offense started the game strong, scoring the first two touchdowns of the game. Glover ran 27 yards for the first GC points of the game and Gonzales recorded the game's second touchdown with a 65 yard punt return. Westminster answered at the end of the second quarter with a with a touchdown by Joe Plassmeyer to bring the halftime score to 14-8, GC.

The second half started with Greenville scoring another touchdown when Gonzales caught a 7 yard pass from Chambers. Westminster got the next points when James Gladstone caught a pass from Plassmeyer to bring the score to 21-16. Panther Immanuel Gamble answered when he ran 4 yards for a touchdown to end the third quarter 28-16.

In the fourth quarter, both teams scored one touchdown, Mac Findeiss for Westminster and Gamble for Greenville, and both kickers missed the extra point, to bring the game's final score to 34-22 Panthers.

This win brings the Panthers' record to 6-2. GC takes the field again on Saturday, Nov. 3 when they travel to Northwestern (MN) at to play the Eagles at 1:.
