Men’s Tennis Blanks Fontbonne 9-0

ST. LOUIS, Mo. Mens Tennis (6-2, 1-0 SLIAC) opened conference play on Monday as they traveled to Fontbonne University to take on the Griffins under the lights. GC showed little problems in the night match, sweeping Fontbonne and cruising to a 9-0 decision.

Both singles #1, Joe Newlin, and #2, Ian Wolf, dominated their flights with 6-0, 6-0 efforts in the match while leading GC to a 6-0 team singles performance.

On the doubles court, the Panthers again rolled to a 3-0 victory with tandems Newlin and Wolf, Taylor Dunnington and Brent Wiedman, and Austin Young and Todd Ganton all picking up their respective match wins.

Greenville mens tennis will next take the court on Wednesday, March 30, as they look to defend the Scott Burgess Tennis Complex against the Bluejays of Westminster
