Men's Soccer Beats MacMurray 1-0

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.-- The Greenville Men's Soccer team beat MacMurray 1-0 with a late goal by Sean McQuillan.

McQuillan scored a header with just 2 minutes remaining inthe game to get the game winner and bring home the win for the Panthers. Both Dan Ruder and Ryan Haas were credited with the assist.

GC outshot MacMurray 16-4 in the game, with Nathan Mayberry leading the team with 5 shots. Thomas Crown was credited with 2 saves to earn the SLIAC shutout.

This win brings Greenville into the nuber two spot in the SLIAC with a record of 9-5-2 (4-0-2 SLIAC). The team plays again Saturday, Oct. 27when they take on Conference rival Webster in a battle for SLIAC dominance.
