Men's tennis routs Thomas and Frostburg St.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The men's tennis team continued their perfect spring trip with a pair of easy wins on Wednesday. The Panthers opened the day with a 8-1 win over Thomas (ME) and closed out the day's action with a 9-0 sweep of Frostburg St.

Against Thomas, the Panthers were perfect in doubles as the No. 1 team of Alex Dowley and Jonathan Urshan and No. 3 team comprised of Code Power and Justin McDonald took 8-3 wins. Greenville's No. 2 team of Nate Wieland and Demetrius Bush won 8-2.

In singles action, No. 3 Power, No. 4 Bush, and No. 6 McDonald won in straight sets. No. 1 Wieland and No. 5 Dowley tallied victories in a third set tiebreaker.

The Panthers match against Frostburg St. saw Greenville obtain straight set wins in all six singles matches. The No. 1 and No. 3 doubles teams won 8-2, and the No. 2 doubles team got an 8-3 victory.

The Panthers (6-2) conclude their spring trip with a match against North Central (IL) on Friday.
