Men's tennis opens with two wins

O'FALLON, Ill. -- The men's tennis team began their 2015 campaign with a pair of team victories on Saturday. They defeated St. Louis Pharmacy 8-1 and followed with a hard fought 6-3 victory over Kaskaskia.

Greenville was able to capture four of the six singles matches against Kaskaskia. The team match was decided when Code Power and Justin McDonald finished off their opponents at No. 3 doubles.

It was a great team match for us to play this early in the season," said head coach Brett Brannon. "We knew that Kaskaskia would give us all that we could handle. And that is exactly what happened. I was very pleased overall with our teams ability to be consistently focused throughout the matches.

After winning both matches, the Panthers are preparing for their next contest on Feb. 28 at Knox.
