Men's tennis gains SLIAC regular season title

FULTON, Mo. -- The men's tennis team wrapped up their SLIAC regular season with an 8-1 win over Westminster to give the Panthers their first SLIAC regular season championship.
Greenville opened play with wins in No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
The No. 1 team of Justin Tilford and Nate Wieland won their match 8-6, and No. 2 duo of Jonathan Urshan and Code Power also gained an 8-6 win.
Greenville swept the singles play with victories from No. 1 Wieland, No. 2 Urshan, No. 3 Power, No. 4 Blake Gocey, No. 5 Tilford, and No. 6 Mason Tennell.
The Panthers (12-4, 4-0 SLIAC) conclude the regular season on Saturday at Illinois Wesleyan. Next weekend the Panthers will enter the SLIAC tournament as the No. 1 seed for the first time.
