Men's tennis finishes as NCCAA regional runners up

ELGIN, Ill. -- The men's tennis team fell to Judson 5-2 on Friday in the championship match of the NCCAA north central regional. Greenville's victories were obtained in No. 2 doubles and No. 5 singles.
The match entered singles competition with Judson up 2-1. Greenville's No. 2 doubles team won 8-6 as Demetrius Bush and Nate Wieland took the match.
When it turned to singles, No. 5 Alex Dowley won 6-4, 7-5 to even the score at 2-2, but Judson bounced back with a straight sets win at No. 1 singles and three set wins in No. 3 and No. 4 singles to take the match.
The Panthers (12-5) face Oakland City on Monday at 6 p.m. in Greenville.
