Men's Soccer topped in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- The men's soccer team traveled to Benedictine - Springfield on Tuesday where they lost 1-0. Goalkeeper Thomas Crown stopped four shots.
Benedictine outshot Greenville 12-6, consistently giving the Panther defense headaches.
The lone goal was scored in the 34th minute by Raphael Sicolin on a free kick from the 25.
Spencer Pulliam had three of Greenville's five shots on goal.
"We really showed our youth tonight," said head coach Chris Swift. "We weren't great and we dug ourselves a hole we couldn't get out of."
"We need to learn from this experience quickly because we have the most important game of our season so far coming up on Saturday against Spalding. We have to do all the little things right to be successful and we didn't do that tonight."
The Panthers (4-4-1) travel to Spalding on Saturday.
