Men's Soccer sees five honored by SLIAC

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The SLIAC honored five members of the men's soccer program for their accomplishments this season. Two members of the squad were recognized on the second team and three were third mention. Spencer Pulliam was selected for the all-sportsmanship team.

Headlining the way were second team selections Jordan York and Richie Herschkowicz.

York, a senior from Smithton, Ill., was the leading scorer for Greenville, posting eight goals and two assists for 18 points. He was the team leader in points as well.

Hershkowitz, a junior from Galesburg, Ill., produced five goals, one assist, and 11 points.

Gaining third mention were Spencer Pulliam, Peter Plakorus, and Thomas Crown.

Pulliam, a senior from Springfield, Ill., was one of a trio of Panthers who tied for second on the team with five goals. Pulliam added a team-leading 7 assists. His point total of 17 was second on the unit.

Plakorus, a sophomore from Columbia, Mo., ended the campaign with three assists in 16 games.

Crown, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., was Greenville's top goalkeeper. He tallied a season record of 9-7-1 with five shutouts and a goals against average (GAA) of 0.74 in nearly 1500 minutes. His save percentage of .875 and GAA was tops in the SLIAC.

The men's soccer team ended their season tied with Fontbonne for fourth place in the SLIAC, concluding the year with an overall record of 10-8-1 (6-3 SLIAC).
