GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's soccer team routed Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday, taking a 9-0 Homecoming win. Nine Panthers scored in the contest. Jordan York's goal seven seconds into the game was the fastest goal scored in Greenville College men's soccer history, bettering the nine second mark set by Dan Snyder in 1977 against Rose-Hulman.

In addition to York, Panther goals were posted by Thomas Crown, Richie Hershkowitz, Josh Rippirger, Jacob Jones, Ben Linder, Spencer Pulliam, Brent Lehr, and Josh Davinroy.

Picking up a pair of assists were Jones and Lehr. Other assists were tallied by Crown, Linder, Peter Plakorus, Dillon Czech, Justin Mulholland, and Jon Adams.

Goalkeepers Crown and Jose Mondragon shared the shutout.

Greenville had 35 shots in the contest, including 18 on goal.

Czech led the Panthers with seven shots and three shots on goal. Pulliam added six shots and two shots on goal.

"It's always great to win your Homecoming match, and we did so today with some style," said head coach Chris Swift. "I can't say enough about the leadership that the seniors (York, Pulliam, Crown, and Linder) bring to this young group."

"I am thrilled especially for Thomas to get a goal here today. It's a nice little 'jewel in his crown' to get that and is a just reward for all he has done not just this season, but over the course of his career here at Greenville."

The Panthers (9-7-1, 5-2 SLIAC) host conference-leading Webster on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in its final home game of the regular season.
