GREENVILLE, Ill. The mens soccer team kept their pursuit of a perfect conference season alive as they picked up a 2-1 win over Fontbonne on Saturday.

Josh Davinroy collected the game-winner in the 47th minute as Josh Ripperger assisted.

Jonny Madrid got the opening goal in the 32nd minute.

"It's another good win tonight, and we are starting to build some momentum at the right time," said head coach Chris Swift.

"We keep getting different individuals to step up and make the plays we need them to in the right moments."

"Tonight it was Josh Davinroy's turn. He came in and helped shore up our midfield in the first half and then scores the winner for us knocking it in off the crossbar."

"On top of that we continue to get the consistent production from Jonny Madrid. Thursday was a great assist for the game winner, tonight he scores our opener with a volley. He continues to produce, but most importantly he continues to make those around him even better."

"It feels very good to be 4-0 and to knock off a rival in Fontbonne, but we aren't satisfied. We have to prepare for a tough trip to Principia on Tuesday, and we need to continue this run."

The Panthers evened their overall record at 7-7 with the win. They travel to Principia on Tuesday night.
