Men’s Cross Country Finishes 20th in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. The mens cross country team was led by freshman Andrew Sharps 44th place finish as the team ranked 20th at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday.

Sharps finish of 27:04 gave Greenville 43 points in the team standings.

Sophomore Nathan Allyn was Greenvilles number two runner, crossing the line in 114th place (27:57) and taking 112 points.

Sophomore Ben Gabel followed close behind, taking 119th in 27:58 and 117 points.

Sophomore Jacob Burrell and freshman Jaylen Shelton completed Greenvilles scoring position as they were 136th and 139th. Burrell ran 28:16 to obtain 133 points, and Sheltons time of 28:20 took 135 points.

Greenville earned 540 points. Conference opponents Spalding and Webster ranked higher than Greenville in the 42 team field.

The Panthers return to action at Bradley on Friday, Oct. 17.
