Men's basketball upsets first place Iowa Wesleyan

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team erased a nine point deficit over the last 90 seconds of regulation and then outscored Iowa Wesleyan by nine in overtime as the Panthers defeated first place Iowa Wesleyan 120-111 on Saturday.
Tim Daniel led Greenville with 26 points, but it was a three pointer by Shane Smith as time expired that gave the Panthers the opportunity to win the game in overtime.
The Panthers led 48-45 at halftime, and the three pointer by Smith knotted the game up a 106 heading into overtime.
Michael Hohm added 17 points and seven steals for Greenville.
Andrew Scott and DeAndre Brown posted seven rebounds.
The Panthers (5-10, 4-4 SLIAC) complete the first round of SLIAC competition at Eureka on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Currently, the Panthers are tied for fifth place after three consecutive SLIAC wins and sit one game out of second place.
