Men's Basketball Slips by Principia

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team used a 56 point second half scoring output to overtake Principia on Tuesday night and win 91-86 in their final game of the season. Sophomore Tim Daniel posted a career-high 32 points in the win while also adding a team-high eight rebounds.

Greenville trailed by six at halftime and came out firing in the second stanza as they hit 21-of-33 field goal attempts, including a mark of 5-of-9 behind the three point arc.

For the game, Greenville made 53.7 percent of its field goal attempts.

In the final game of his career, senior Alex Mumphard closed the season with 15 points, seven assists, and two steals.

The win allowed the Panthers (15-10, 11-7) to hold the fifth place position in the conference standings. The 15 win season was the second in three years.
