Men's Basketball outplayed by Western Illinois

MACOMB, Ill. -- The men's basketball team came up short as they lost 91-56 to Western Illinois on Saturday. The Panthers were led by Tim Daniel and Nick Trisko who each posted 12 points.
Greenville trailed 46-33 at halftime, and Western Illinois controlled play in the second half as they increased their lead.
The Panthers shot 34.4 percent from the field (21-of-61), including a 23.5 percent mark (4-of-17) behind the three-point line. Greenville made 10-of-14 free throws.
The Panthers were outrebounded by 10 as Western Illinois held a 41 to 31 margin.
Ron Harris was Greenville's leading rebounder with six caroms. Andrew Scott had a blocked shot.
Stevonte Young produced two steals.
The Panthers (2-3) host Spalding on Thursday at 8 p.m. in its SLIAC opening game.
