Men's basketball gains win over Spalding

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball kept pace with conference leaders Iowa Wesleyan and MacMurray as they defeated Spalding 112-105 to avenge their January loss to the Golden Eagles.

Kenny Greene came off the bench to become Greenville's leading scorer with 23 points on the evening.

Greenville had two players -- Michael Hohm and Tim Daniel -- post 16 points, Jamal Daniels added 12 points, and Shane Smith provided 10.

Johari Dix passed out a game-high four assists while collecting a game-high five steals.

Greenville came up with 15 steals in the game as they forced 22 turnovers by Spalding.

DeAndre Brown was Greenville's leader with seven rebounds.

The Panthers never trailed in the game, holding a 50-46 lead at halftime, and extending the advantage to 18 points in the second half.

The Panthers (9-11, 8-5 SLIAC) host MacMurray on Saturday at 3 p.m. in a game of conference leaders.
