Men's basketball comes up short at Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. -- The men's basketball team battled Eureka on Saturday but couldn't come away with their second victory over the Red Devils this season as they were defeated 69-58. Brian Ehresman topped Greenville with 19 points and three steals.

The game was knotted at 27 at halftime, and Greenville stretched its lead to seven quickly in the second half. However, Eureka outscored Greenville by 20 over the final 17 minutes and won by 11.

Ron Harris posted nine rebounds in the game, and Jamal Daniels totaled eight rebounds in his first start. Daniels also had 11 points.

With the loss, the Panthers record fell to 11-10 (8-6 SLIAC) with four conference games remaining. They are tied with Eureka for fifth place, one half game back of Webster and Fontbonne who are tied for the third and fourth place positions.
