Lady Panthers Tennis Sweep Blackburn in a Conference Victory

The Greenville College women traveled to Carlinville to take on the Blackburn Beavers Saturday, bringing home a 9-0 win. This marks the team's second conference victory.

In singles play, No. 1-6 spots won their matches and Kat Kennedy, in the No. 7 exhibition spot, also was victorious. The singles match scores are as follows: Jamie Harling won with a score of 6-3, 6-0. Katie Maurer beat her opponent 7-5, 6-1. Kristin Minshall won 6-3, 6-2. Krsiten Lynch was victorious as well with a score of 6-1, 6-0. Kim Minshall won 6-2, 6-0. Chelsie Evans came out on top 6-2, 6-0. Kat Kennedy won her exhibition match with a score of 6-4, 6-2

The Lady Panthers performed well in singles and headed into doubles play up 6-0. No. 1-3 teams were also successful in doubles. The No. 4 spot Panthers pair won the exhibition match as well. The doubles scores are as follows: Harling and Maurer beat their opposition 8-2, Minshall and Minshall won 8-1, Evans and Lynch triumphed 8-0, and Kennedy and Reints prevailed in their exhibition with a score of 8-1.

With this impressive 9-0 victory, the Lady Panthers improved their record to 4-7 (3-1 SLIAC). They play Principia at home on Tuesday in hopes of getting another conference victory.
