Lady Panther Tennis Team Drops Close Match to Rend Lake

The GC women lost 4-5 to the Rend Lake Warriors Tuesday night. Despite a full team effort, the loss came as Greenville's tenth of the season.

In singles play, the Lady Panthers tied the Warriors two matches each. Getting the wins for Greenville were Jamie Harling, with a score of 6-3, 6-4, Kristen Lynch, with a score of 6-3, 6-0, and Kim Minshall, with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 10-3. The impressive wins in the No. 1, 3, and 4 spots brought the game to 3-3 heading into doubles play.

In doubles, the women could not pull out the victory and won only one of the three matches played. The duo of Kat Kennedy and Jamie Harling won their match with a score of 8-5. This brought the final match score to 4-5, Rend Lake.

This loss brings the Lady Panther's record to 4-10. They will play again at 10:30am Saturday on their home courts.
