ELSAH, Ill.-- The GC Women's Soccer Team upset the No. 1 seed, Principia, winning the game 1-0, to advance to the SLIAC Championship.

Kieley Leach was credited with the game's lone goal but said it was a "team effort," as the ball was sent into the box when Claire Conwell-Vargas took a beautiful corner kick that sent the ball into dangerous territory. The ball bobbled around in Principia's defensive end, with both teams trying to gain possession, but Leach had the last word, putting the ball in the back of the net and bringing GC up 1-0.
