Koehl Recognized as SLIAC Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- Greenville's own Heidi Koehl was awarded the SLIAC Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performances against Fontbonne and Principia last week.
Koehl, a goalkeeper from Belleville, Ill., was a driving force for the Panthers and helped her team secure a spot in the SLIAC Tournament with a pair of ties against SLIACopponents. Koehl allowed just one goal in each game, totaling 220 minutes of action and finishing with a 0.82 goals-against average. Koehl made 7 saves against Fontbonne and recorded another 6 saves against Principia just four days later. Koehl finished the week with an impressive .867 save percentage.
Koehl, a senior captain, is ranked fifth overall in the SLIAC for her goals against average with 1.55. She has recorded 85 saves and has a .752 save percentage in 2013.
